As Chancellor of MIT University Sikkim, my role is to serve as the ceremonial head of the institution and a guiding force behind its vision, mission and long-term development — steering the university's commitment to excellence, inclusivity and innovation.

We aim to go beyond conventional classroom learning. By fostering academic rigour alongside holistic development, our goal is to help students grow into capable professionals and responsible citizens — not just degree holders.

Working closely with the Vice-Chancellor, Pro-VC, Deans and academic leaders, we are building a genuinely world-class learning environment — one that serves the immediate needs of Sikkim and the Northeast while contributing meaningfully to India's broader academic and research community.
